What is Chicken on a Bicycle?

This is the album that I’ve wanted to make since I first started making music. I have indulged every single little whim and odd thought that time and money has allowed me. Each song has been treated as its own entity; each has received the arrangement and production that I think that it asks for; be it electronic, country, punk, bluegrass, pop, or whatever… no matter what other songs surround it.
It’s been a lot of fun stretching out, doing some different things, and working with different people. I hope that you’ll enjoy listening to the album as much as we enjoyed making it. Hell, if you enjoy it even half that much, the project will have been a success!

Track Name: Tortured Artist
"Tortured Artist"

There goes my disappointment, the fly in the ointment has -- flown
I thought I had all the answers, it turned out that I was -- wrong
I’m all thumbs, dropping the ball and locked out in the hall it’s too -- late
I guess that I should start sooner, what can I do that’s my -- fate

You think I should work through it, but I just keep loosing what’s -- mine
You think I’m a bit angry, and I might be but that’s just -- fine

I’m on-time….

I show up at the wrong place
Just in-time for a pie in the face

And I’ll be
Wallowing in messes that I’ve made
It brings on
Molding all these troubles that I’ve saved

I just want to be there when the shit hits the fan
Catch it all in a bucket
And then use what I can…

Track Name: C'mon Angel
C'mon Angel, come on down
Oh yeah, I know why you left town
I've come all this way to find you
Won't you please just come on down?
I've been thinking 'bout the monsters
I've been thinking 'bout them hounds
I've been thinking I can duck ‘em
Won't you please just come on down?

Well it won't be like it has been
Though I can't tell you why
I can't promise I'll be perfect
But I can promise that I'll try
If you'll just come back home with me
We'll start up from the ground
And we can make it better
Won't you please just come on down?

C'mon Angel, come on please
At least come have a talk with me
I've got a lot I’ve need to tell you
C'mon Angel, come on please
Now I'm climbing to your door
You know we've been through this before
And I know that you will let me in
So let's talk a little more

It'll be just like it has been
Because I know you love your man
And you know that I love you, girl
More than either of us can stand
Now I'm waiting for your answer
I’m gonna take you back hometown
I'm the only one who loves you
Won't you please just come on down?

(repeat –c2-)

Well now Angel, you forced my hand
And I am a violent man
But I've never been mad like this before
You'd better run while you still can...
Track Name: Come On, Let's Go
Were we lonely?
I forget
But I can't forget the way you looked
The night that we first met
It was Tuesday
It was late
But not too late to play the flirt
Or play the hand of fate

A smile hello
Come on, let’s go
The bar’s about to close
“Here’s a pen,
“I’ll call you when…”

Were we happy?
I forget
But I can't forget the words you said
When you said it should end
I was happy
What did you expect?
But I didn’t expect the way I felt
When you stayed in my head

The urge to phone
Come on, let’s go
The show’s about to start
“Hey, why not?,
Another shot…

As much as things were meant to be
This was meant to be
As much as this was meant to be
Things were meant to be
As much as things were meant to be
You were meant for me
As much as you were meant for me…

Now where are we?
How could I forget?
We’re on the road, come on, let’s go…

Track Name: Say You Will (A Reluctant Soldier's Plea)
In the dark, pre-dawn morning
We wait for the bus
As the sun slowly comes
Feelings overcome us
I'll be oceans away
But I'm always close by

I'll be back in a year
If I survive the fight
I will do what I'm told
Because I'm told that it's right
But when "right" seems so wrong
Then I know I ain’t right

Now I'm going off to fight
For the ones that I'll kill
If I come home with blood
On my hands that I've spilled
Oh, please take them in your hands
Because I'll love you still...

Say you will
Say you will
